Hunt down a coureur du bois from Quebec to give you some legit maple syrup and serve it on the side. It’s cold in Calgary in the winter, this breakfast will take you poolside in the tropics.

The Galaxie Diner is a beautiful old school classic in the Calgary Beltline. Part of a vintage block of buildings just off the 17th Avenue strip, if you’re not here early you’ll be waiting in line. There’s enough room for barely more than a dozen diners, but you’ll gladly wait for a seat in a vintage wooden booth, or at the counter.
