For the past few years, my sons and I have headed out to Bragg Creek on the Easter Weekend for one of the best pancake breakfasts ever and a fun little Easter egg hunt.

I included it in my list of Easter Egg Hunts around Calgary this year and highlighted it as my favorite and encouraged everyone to attend.

Well, it worked. And this morning far more people showed up than have in previous years and volunteers were overwhelmed.

What had been a small community event had unexpectedly spread to the big city next door and they weren’t prepared.

To make matters worse, the Easter Egg Hunt that had been held in years previous was not on the schedule for 2015. It was just to be a small community event with a pancake breakfast and games for the kids.

I’d like to apologize to everyone who attended and did not experience what I had described. My previous Easter weekends in Bragg Creek were so great, I couldnt resist spreading the word. I’m sorry it wasn’t the same experience this year.

I would also like to apologize to the volunteers at the Bragg Creek Community Association. My Easter Event list was shared widely on Facebook this week and the attendance overwhelmed them. While I intended to spread the word of their great event, I too didnt intend the response to be overwhelming to them.
