If you’ve been yearning for summer, and getting a little growly in anticipation, fear not, Big Rock Brewery is about to make the wait worth while.

This week look for #RandomActsofBigRock celebrating summer with giant chalk art murals in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.

Temporary masterpieces will be drawn the morning of May 25, 2017 by local chalk artists and unveiled at lunchtime. Those who chose to pass by will be surprised with a complimentary growler and a voucher for a liquid summer treat.

Here’s where you need to go to see the art, and reward your summer with a sip on Thursday, May 25, at 11a.

Vancouver: Robson Square, 800 Robson St

Calgary: Eau Claire Market, North Plaza, 200 Barclay Parade SW

Toronto: Front West & Lower Simcoe Impark Parking Lot

Two of my all time favorite “liquid summer treats” are from Big Rock Brewery.

Purple Gas has the tart of saskatoon berries and the sweet of local honey, while Belly Flop is a light, fruity apricot grisette that will have you sessioning all summer. Oh my.

Big Rock Brewery In 1985, Ed McNally founded Big Rock Brewery to buck the time’s beer trends. Three bold, European-inspired offerings – Bitter, Porter and Traditional Ale – launched an industry at a time heavy on easy-drinking lagers and light on flavour. Today, our ten signature beers, numerous limited edition seasonal offerings, four ciders, and custom-crafted private label are passionately brewed in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, bringing quality and consistency to craft beer drinkers across the country.
