Mini-donuts are a favourite midway treat at the Calgary Stampede each year, but they’re not limited to just those 10 days. Sure, they might taste better in jeans and a cowboy hat walking through the crowds on a hot July day, but when you need mini-donuts in Calgary you can get them every day of the year!
The Calgary Stampede is holding a mini-donut drive-thru to fulfill your cravings on July 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 since the Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth has been canceled for 2020. Two dozen of those little donuts will set you back $21 and a likely long wait in line of cars on the Stampede grounds.

YYC MiniDonuts
Follow the Calgary Mini Donuts food truck on Instagram or Twitter to get their locations on weekends at various Farmers’ Markets around Calgary. They also offer take and bake mini-donut boxes at Avenida Food Hall.
Carnival Cafe
If it’s deep-fried or on a stick, you’ll find it at the Carnival Cafe, a Calgary restaurant that specializes in all sorts of Midway food. There’s donut burgers, deep-fried pickles, crispy mac and cheese bombs, corn dogs, deep-fried Oreos, funnel cakes, and, yes, mini-donuts!
Crepe Delicious
If you head out of town to Cross Iron Mills, you can find Crepe Delicious right across from Bass Pro Shop. They do crepes, but have the mini donut machine too, and make them fresh in front of you the moment you order them. It’s just as good as Calgary Stampede mini donuts.

If you’re looking for something a little more posh than a wax bag filled with mini donuts drenched in powder sugar, then make your way to The Dapper Doghnut in Market Mall. This kiosk has dozens of varieties of perfectly decadent mini donuts to go!
Canyon Meadows Cinemas
One of the best things to do is hit up a movie theatre for popcorn and snacks and then head home to watch a movie on your own home screen. It’s almost as good, and if you swing by Canyon Meadows Cinemas in south Calgary, you could also scoop a bag of mini donuts!
