[twitter]Calgary is home to Hockey Canada and their beautiful head offices at Winsport Canada Olympic Park. The building houses the head offices of the sport’s governing body adjacent to 3 hockey rinks and a fabulous training facility. As with any rink, the home team has a beautiful dressing room and the home team at this rink is Team Canada.

The World Junior team has training camps here. The women’s national team calls this place home. The Olympic team will hold orientations here. When it comes to important hockey decisions in Canada, they happen at this Calgary facility.

To walk into the room didn’t bring the same sort of awe as when I sat in the replica of the Montreal Canadiens’ Forum dressing room at the Hockey Hall of Fame (below top and left), but still… this is the home rink for Canada’s greatest (below right).

For a moment, sitting on the bench, I was on Team Canada .. and it was awesome.
